  • Yes. Starting August 1st, 2025, a valid medical prescription issued by a licensed physician affiliated with a licensed clinic is required for all cannabis flower purchases in Thailand.

A compliant system should provide access to licensed doctors for issuing P.T.33 prescriptions, integrate with Portor 28 reporting requirements, and maintain secure medical record storage. It should also generate proper patient documentation such as OPD cards, support verification with QR-linked prescriptions, and offer reliable telemedicine consultations. Together, these features help dispensaries meet legal obligations while ensuring patients receive cannabis through a safe, regulated process.
